Hotel Mimosa Madeira
The Mimosa is part of the Dorisol complex which means you an use al the facilities at its sister hotels. With classic views of the Bay of Funchal and the mountains, this quality hotel makes a good base for an independent holiday. Would suit couples of all ages. The hilly location makes this hotel unsuitable for the less mobile.
The hotel is 2.8km from the centre of Funchal and there is a free shuttle bus which runs 9 times a day, shops, bars and restaurants are 50m downhill from the hotel and the Lido complex (popular with locals) is 400m away.
Facilities include: pool with ocean views, poolside bar serving snacks, tennis, use of sport facilities complex, shop, mini-market and hairdresser. Rooms have 2 or 3 beds, cable/satellite TV, kitchenette and hairdryer. Single rooms are available.
